EXTRA! EXTRA! TODD SMELLS

LiveJournal is not for everything. Whole articles of writin' (especially the kind that not even an <lj-cut> can save) are still best suited for up-putting on their own site, and so it is with spatch.net.

This is all one big-ass convoluted way of saying I've a new front page update on the site, dealing with a particular kind of cookie that I just can't seem to get anymore. I'm sure other, similarly cranky missives could be churned out wholesale since so many of those Good Old Things near and dear to our nostalgic rose-glassed memories are disappearing, but the missing cookies got to my brain first.

And now I've got powdered sugar everywhere, gol' dang it.

If I actually get around to making cookies anytime soon (which I really should, or I'll be single again before you can say "no cookies again? not even a peach pie?!?") I'll let you know how they turn out.

Of course I can't compare them to the original since this is the first I've heard of them. But they do sound nummerly.
