It's always very odd to realize you're sharing a Television Moment with other people.

But as I was watching the Belmont Stakes today, a crowd of people in the house across the street started howling as Birdstone rushed past Smarty Jones on the last stretch. "That's funny," I thought, "They're having a loud party early tonight."

Then I realized they were watching the race too, and beat me to the howls of protest.
