What a pleasant surprise! The trailer for Wes Anderson's next film, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. (Quicktime there, it's either that or the ultra-crappy bloated-as-hell Windows Media version, so suck it up, Buttercup.) The trailer is cut and edited quite nicely in that Wes Anderson style, good music, intriguing scenes, and the aquatic creature animation is all done by Henry Selick. The film stars Bill Murray as "famed oceanographer Steve Zissou." Frankly I've really liked him in the secondary roles he's taken in Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums -- I like it when he's in the background -- so it will be interesting to see him in a title role.
I do not worry, though. There's also Owen Wilson, Anjelica Huston, Willem Dafoe, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum and, as IMDB and others tell me, Bud Cort and Michael Gambon and the fish animation is done by Henry Selick.
Christmas now cannot come soon enough.
but where's Kumar Pallana?!
