We shall be together, living in the eaves
Nov. 9th, 2003 05:03 amThere is something or someone living in the eaves of the house and currently they're right by my computer desk. They are clambering and scrattling around at a very odd location -- halfway between the second and third floors -- and are rustling wires, pushing aside rubble, making old boards creak, and every now and then falling over. Sounds heavy enough (and uncoordinated enough) to be raccoons. Heard some claws against wood, yep, it's coons. And at 5 AM they're really making a really loud nuisance of themselves. Both cats are showing equal parts interest, amusement and indifference, which is really what cats do best.
But I'm more concerned about the fact that these bastards are loud, they're in the eaves, and I don't want my downstairs neighbors thinking it's me or my cats fooling around in the walls at 5 in the morning, eh.
So to sum up:
Raccoons on the deck: Aw so cute
Raccoons in the walls: Get the hell out
