mikester's recent spate of Buster Brown posts got me a-Googlin. I remembered his dog's name was Tige, but I didn't know why or what or how. Then I found several examples of Richard Outcault's original Buster Brown comic strip, and I was intrigued so I went to read more, and I found several fine examples that reside, apparently, on a site that's devoted to wives spanking their husbands and forcing them to wear petticoats.

It takes all kinds, yes. But should I be concerned that the Buster Brown strips presented therein are presented duly for the thrill of the spanking of the churlish lad? I just wanted to read them, he says, in a sad voice.
