Jul. 29th, 2006 11:35 pmSee, the way to have an evening is to first go and get a few books from the used bookstore, and then have a nice meal of fish and chips at John Harvard's, oh and some beer with which to wash that cod down, a nice summery IPA or two, and then a big bucket of popcorn at the Brattle for to munch upon while you watch Jaws.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, but Jaws really is one of the finest movies ever made, in spite of the Blockbuster Phenomenon it spawned. It's so much more fun to watch it in the theater, because then you get to listen for all the reactions of the audience, especially the people who'd never seen it before on the big screen. Sure, you laughed at the now-cliched cello, lady, but when the disembodied head popped thru that hole in the boat we heard you yelp all the way from here to Fall River.
