Mar. 25th, 2007 10:49 amHere's video of the Myrtle Beach Hurricane's lift hill, the last remnant of the ride, coming down.
The coaster's destruction itself doesn't bother me all that much; as I've said before, the minimal maintenance on the ride turned it into a dash down a washboard hill on a Radio Flyer, but there's a right-to-left pan near the beginning of this clip that pretty much shows the full ruins of the Myrtle Beach Pavilion.
Watching the entire steel lift hill structure buckle and twist and topple over was fascinating. Looking at a pile of rubble and thinking that a mere how many months ago there was an amusement park was sad.
