Mars was a bright orangish speck in the sky; the brightest celestial body in Somerville besides the moon, at least. You could very easily discern what was Mars and was was not-Mars. I don't have any kind of telescope setup so I couldn't do the whole "ooh, polar caps!" game, but it was kinda nice to look at for a few minutes while Alcohol-Related Domestic Incidents happened three stories below.
