I cribbed these pictures from "Elentar", a goon over on the Something Awful forums.

Here we see a display for a kids' book called "Diary of a Worm."
It's a motorized display with a little rotating wheel on that back that makes this happy worm pop up from behind the display.
He sure is a happy fellow, ain't he?

As the wheel rotates, the worm disappears from the top and pops out over on the other side.
But someone really messed up the design of this thing.
Or maybe they wanted to see if they could pull one over on their boss.
Because the wheel keeps rotating and the worm emerges further and this is why there are standing orders in many bookstores to "disable the motor before displaying":

Oh yeah, he's happy. And a fine upstandin' pillar of the community to boot.

If they get Manny some protection, he can swing away. That's worth rooting for.

Keep hitting that Pesky Pole, and maybe they'll mount a charge for the title.

Call me a cockeyed optimist, but I really am hoping the Dodgers take it all the way.
