Sep. 10th, 2003 06:59 pmLET'S LOOK AT THE TALLY BOARD, JERRY
Sure, I could be picky and say that the cost of the drinks for the meal alone would be 50 cents, since I'll probably drink two cans at dinner; that brings me to a net gain of $2.32 when all is said and done. Not a bad haul either! Just a shame this kind of meal only comes around once every four months or so.
Cost of tonight's meal (99 cent
Barilla pasta, $1.50 jar of sauce,
$1.99 pound of ground beef, $2.99
case of Diet Coke) $7.47
Total money from cans redeemed $7.30
------
Cost out of pocket $0.17I think it's a safe bet to say that tonight's delicious meal is brought to me by the good people at the Coca-Cola Company. Cheers!Sure, I could be picky and say that the cost of the drinks for the meal alone would be 50 cents, since I'll probably drink two cans at dinner; that brings me to a net gain of $2.32 when all is said and done. Martha, lumbat

More to the point, though, he already covered that:
