I was thinking of taking a hammer to the underside of the damage and poking it out to keep the tire from rubbing against it, but figure any such steps will be taken as a Last Resort if I really really really need to drive the car somewhere. It's a damn shame since Krispy Kreme is five miles thataway, too.
