I know which one would probably interest you more, Constant Readers, since you're all so wise and worldly and learn-ed, but I wonder:

Which story did American media devote more time to this week?
1. Ben & Jen cancel wedding, then 'temporarily' separate
2. Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh stabbed to death in department store

(HINT: Even the day before September 11th, Story #1 ran second on Channel 7's News at 11 and was first on the pre-newscast teaser. I only know this cause I was watching Law & Order and forgot to turn the TV off afterwards.)

Even while Story #2 had no immediate negative implications for the United States, thus making it only "a story about one of those other countries over there" I still think big international stories should have precedence over silly celebrity relationships. But I realize I'm in the minority here, seeing as I have the capacity for rational thought or something.

Oh we -- HEY THERE'S A DOG IN BOCA RATON THAT WATER-SKIS! THAT SURE IS ONE COOL CANINE!
