Oh, boy!

This I am very happy for. Quantum Leap was one of my favorite TV series in high school and while the series' end was a bit of a deus ex bartender kind of downer, I always knew there'd be a movie, made-for-TV-or-no, to come out of it eventually. I just had to be real good, stay in drugs, don't do milk, and drink my school. And even if it sucks rocks, I'll be glad to see it.

EDIT: Aw, looks like it's nothin but baseless rumor and has been for two years. But wouldn't it have been nice?!

Oh look, and already the social outpatients on the IMDB boards are trying to argue over which season has the better theme song. You know, if ever there was a strong argument for mandatory sterilization, the IMDB message boards would be it.

I hadn't realized that different seasons had different theme music, although I did notice a difference between the voice-over bit in season 1 vs. season 3.

If I were given to fangirl excess I would be squealing excessively. As it is, I'm wondering who I can press into service taping this thing for me when it airs.

I went to high school with a girl who would write episodes of Quantum Leap and mail them off to the producer. She did one every 3 weeks or so. I never read one, but whether they were any good or not, surely that is a sign of obsession.

Aw, yeah. Quantum Leap has been showing here, from the first episode right up until the last episode (which is showing today, in fact). As far as I've heard, this sequel's had a lot of scheduling issues and so on, but everyone's pretty determined to get it made.

...and the season 5 theme tune *really* sucks. It is painful to my ears.
