Abbie's actually gotten very good at not making Great Escapes anymore. I think it's mostly because we often let him out on the front and back porch when we're around (since I know he can't get anywhere) and so he gets his fill of Outside Time and it's no longer got that Forbidden Fruit appeal.
Also, the smashed-in door actually leads to the indoor back staircase to the basement, and there's locks on the outer doors down there. So thankfully we're not open and exposed to the elements, but I'd kind of like a new door there sometime soon.
