spatchGod damn the Brattle Theater for being so cool. Their Monday film noir series is kicking my ass.
Next Monday there's a Chinatown / Manchurian Candidate double bill. Both are worthy enough films to warrant a viewing on the big screen, but in a double feature, they take on mythical qualities and make you know you will reach true enlightenment by viewing them back-to-back. Manchurian at 4:15 and 9:45, Chinatown at 7:15. I'll be hitting the 4:15 and 7:15 screenings.
And the week after that? Taxi Driver and The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. Good sweet Jesus. You know you want this view into mid-70s NYC.
