My good friend Noah has written a lovely piece of satire I think you may enjoy: The Timeline of the Piñata at Donald Rumsfeld's Going-Away Party. Just as a sample:

8:48 PM: Piñata is broken open. Wild celebration. "Mission Accomplished" banner is raised until someone points out that no candy has yet fallen out of piñata.

He's a very funny guy and my best friend in high school. We wrote and published a comic book together, and formed a sketch comedy group that had its own public access show and everything. Now he's a playwright, joke writer, stand-up, teacher, and Red Sox fan-on-remote.
