spatchGood old Betty Crocker's still coming up with wacky dishes to make us all scratch our heads and wonder. For instance, here's something I found on the website that just boggled my mind:
Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Toppings
Wow your guests by serving mashed potatoes in martini glasses!
Yeah, that's a Wow all right -- but would that be "Wow, didja run out of clean plates already" or "Wow, what a hilarious party, now for serious where's the booze?"
(and of course the recipe calls for the instant flavored mashed potato flakes which, on their own, are terrifically quick comfort food, but what's stopping you from making your own garlic mashed potatoes out of actual mashed-up potatoes and actual roast garlic and putting pimentos or whatever in them and mushing them into a martini glass? Besides, like, lack of "creativity", which the recipe writers at Betty Crocker seem to have in abundance.)
Serves 16. I want to know just who has 16 martini glasses lying about wishing they could be potato-ized.
