JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION, CLOWNHELMETS:

The Grateful Dead did not record that version of "One Toke Over The Line" (that was Brewer & Shipley.) Simply because a song has druggie lyrics and a twangy late 60s hippie feel to it does not automatically make it the Dead's.
Harry Chapin did not sing "Please Come to Boston" (that was Dave Loggins -- no, not Kenny. Dave. Yes, there was a Dave.)
Tony Orlando & Dawn did not sing "Take A Letter, Maria" (that was RB Greaves.) I mean, these are all nice guesses here, people, but for the sake of accuracy let's do some fact-checking or something first, eh?

Oh, and the song is called "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" and not simply "You're a Fine Girl" and definitely not "Your a Fine Girl."

Please make the proper changes where appropriate.

Your pal,
The Fucking Pedant

How in the hell could "One Toke Over the Line" be by the Grateful Dead?! The voices aren't even close to similar, nor are the guitar noodlings, or anyone else. Of course, I may be biased, given that I could have told you it was Brewer and Shipley when I was probably 7 or so. :)

Tony Orlando and Dawn singing "Take a Letter, Maria"?!?!?!?!?!?! Wow. That's equally as insane. Of course, you happened to mention two of my favorite songs here, so I'm equally pedantic. People really are dumb!

Or how Phish did NOT do a bluegrass cover of "Gin And Juice" (that would be the Gourds).

Filesharers seem to think that The Cure, New Order, Depeche Mode, Camouflage, Joy Division, The Pet Shop Boys, and Erasure are interchangeable, too.

N.B. "CLOWNHELMETS" has been retired in favor of "ASS LAMPREYS." Please make a note of it.
