Excellent idea, excellent execution. Nice and creepy and golly, what size. Very effective.

There is a 20,000 Leagues attraction next to Space Mountain in Discoveryland, but it's a walk-through set in a stationary submarine. (Halfway decent diversion; they even get the squid attack in while you're walking round in there.)
