Gears make me go "oooh." Especially if they're interlocked in such a fashion. And are all weathered and probably make awesome creaking sounds when turned, even though I know they'll never ever turn again ever.
Cool! I like the bridge a lot, though I like it much better when they're not doing things to the bridge that involve incredibly loud whirring machinery or what sounded like a giant vacuum cleaner.
I'd have to agree with you there. Fortunately, it was about 6:50 when I walked across; most of the workers were just getting there and/or eating their breakfast.
