If we let people *sing* songs, pretty soon they'll realize they don't need to go to movies and shows and have people sing for them. The market will crash! Distributors will be out of luck! Performers will go broke!
At least, this is the same argument they made when the sheet music wars occurred at the turn of the previous century. It didn't make any sense then either.
