Spatch, this is really fortuitous timing. Two days ago, my daughter announced that, in her random websurfing, she had found an awesome new website with cats that dressed up in funny hats and the hero's name was El Guano or something like that.

"Was there a little red-haired cat?"
"Yes!"
"And a mayor cat?"
"Yes!"
"And the bad guys wore animal hats?"
"YES!"
"Yeah, I know the guy who made that."

She was duly impressed with her old man, who was in the know with all the hip, ironic internet properties that haven't been updated in years.

Later in the day, she had my wife make her a red-yarn-and-handkerchief wig for one of her toy cats, and she had a black-and-white one that she was pretending was El Guapo.

Her 5-year-old sister was the Animal Hat Gang.

I promise I'll take pictures today and send them to you.

Man, I was looking at the first Alaska episode just the other day. I never dreamed we'd get another story from Cat Town this week.

And speaking for Florida, I would like to say that we bear no ill will towards the town of Bacon, Alaska, despite the universally-acknowledged fact that canisters that have cows painted on them but don't go moo are worthless and dumb and people like them less than nuclear biomedical waste. Ahem.

MADE ENTIRELY OUT OF WIN. I may have to find a way to expose CAT TOWN as a web service for an official Sun Microsystems tutorial...
