Well, hell. I'm about as sick of mentioning this stupid sore throat as I am of actually having it. Yesterday it was gone. I had no throat pain whatsoever. Today, it started as an annoyance in the afternoon and is now back again in full force, this time located in the back center of my throat as opposed to the back left.

What the hell? It's migrating? Have I caught the hermit crab of sore throats? Here today, gone the next, and here in a new location the day after? What the hell have I caught here?! I'm really not happy about this turn of events. I have no honey for tea but I have plenty of cough drops and they're not helping and you can only stand them for so long. And now I'm coughing again. Well, dammit.

I was gonna post something nice and holidays-y but I just don't feel very goddamn holidays-y right about now.

Not to get all chicken little on you, but that sore-throat-jumping stuff happened to me once and it turned out to be mono. Not even fun mono - I didn't get it from kissing, and I wasn't all sleepy all the time like on tv, just sick and icky-feeling for six weeks, and also not supposed to drink on account of the spleen. Not that I can accurately diagnose an illness from 3000 miles away based on a few journal entries, but I can pretend to. It's probably nothing. Just take care of yourself. Especially your spleen part.
