Head On contains menthol and it sounds like you're like me. Menthol and my skin do not play well together. On most people it tingles, on me, it's a four alarm fire. Water only makes it worse -spreads the stuff around. Should you end up in a similar sitch, try covering the area with corn starch or baby powder. Helps to absorb it a bit.
