I have long been bemused by LaMarche's talent for, and many casting directors' inordinate fondness of, Orson Welles impressions. What percentage of the alleged "target audience" for Animaniacs or Pinky and the Brain (i.e. kids under 12) knew that Brain's voice was a homage to Welles? (And for those who didn't, how did the "Yes, Always" episode or the one where Brain played the Shadow-like character make any sense at all?)
Well, for that matter, how many kids realized that Ren and Stimpy's voices were versions of Peter Lorre and Larry Fine? But I digress.
Regardless, I enjoy noticing Maurice's versions of Welles, including the weaselly henchman from Full Throttle. The dude has seriously made more money just imitating one semi-famous director-slash-wunderkind than you would imagine was possible.
