I thought much the same thing flying back from Prague today. I went to the toilet and I needed to stay in there for, how can I put this, a little longer than usual. (The Czech diet is ALL PORK ALL THE TIME which doesn't quite agree with me.) And when I was washing my hands I suddenly thought "Let's hope the flight crew don't assume that I'm using all this time to cleverly fit some sort of bomb in the toilet".
A ridiculous conjecture because a) why in hell would a terrorist blow up the Prague => Bristol flight? and b) most easyJet cabin crew have far better things to do (from what I've heard, chiefly bitching about the ground crew) than time how long passengers spend in the loo.
But it won't surprise me much if it turns out that potty-use time is being monitored on US flights.
