Thank you for the gift, of sharing your voyage into this new sea.
I get the feeling you need to learn the Jewish/Hebrew word which sounds like "B'sheret" (when referring to the female - for men or in general it sounds like "Beshert").
It translates in a lot of ways, soulmate and stuff. But what it really means is "the one God made and intended just for me". There are plenty of people you could marry and be happy-enough with, but sometimes, for the most-fortunate, there is one's most true-hearted and soul-fitting love.
My wife is my b'sheret - it's the second-time-around for both of us, and burnt by the world, we sought cold and solace: we both had said we'd not marry again. When we met each other, slowly, we found a love similar to yours and Sonya's.
Beshert does not mean effortless - the good relationships require effort, and have the same missteps as any other relationships, just with more forgiveness and greater empathy.
I wish you both immense joy in each other, but it appears I'm a little late for that. :-) Thanks, again, for opening the window and sharing a little of your happiness with us.
