Well, to be honest, my haiku does not include a nature reference so the hundred-year one will still win any competition. But perhaps modern haiku don't need no fancy schmancy nature references. You never know!

As for the photo, it's an (unfortunately) empty jug I found when I was doing archaeological compliance work on an old mining site in the Wrangell Mountains. I found it next to an old moonshine still (which is in the photo, just not the icon).
