CNN is reporting that Russ Meyer has died at the age of 82. That's one less person chunga and I will get to meet, so we better hope against hope Lloyd Kaufman lives for-frickin-ever.

I've met Kaufman; he's a San Diego ComicCon regular.

That's actually very very cool. I have high hopes of attending the San Diego ComicCon one of these days.

Maybe even attend from behind a table. Who knows?

You should come to Dragon*con some year. I know a bunch of the Troma folks, and Lloyd is a regular attendee.

My friend Xavi and his brother are into Troma. One of them volunteered for their booth at Comic-Con last year, so when I went to say hi I saw Lloyd and Co. I shook his hand and told him I was a fan and got one of the warmest friendliest greetings of my life.

Going to have to try an organize a Russ Meyer night with bishopjoey when he gets back from 'Frisco. Heck, should ask him to get some Meyer DVDs while he's over there. Meyer is not the kind of filmmaker Czechs would know about.
