Oh yes.

THE THING WITH TWO HEADS (5 meg .ASF trailer)

Ray Milland stars as a dying bigoted doctor who concocts a plan to transplant his head onto another body. Unfortunately, the only body they find for him is that of a black criminal on death row who wants to prove his innocence. Misunderstandings abound. People say "shut up" a lot. And Milland looks awfully uncomfortable snuggling his head up close to Rosey Grier's, and vice versa. The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy television production pulled the two-heads effect off with more style and panache. Truly, one of the best moments of cinema in the 1970s.

Now before you laugh too hard with your Irony Helmets on, kiddies, let me just suggest something truly chilling:

Martin Lawrence and Max von Sydow. $150 mil, easy.

You're so welcome.

Oh, thank you sir, for the following three things!

1. Explaining a reference found in the Mystery Science Theater 3000 amazing colossal episode guide.

2. Scarring me for life.

3. Compelling me to seek this (http://www.monstersinmotion.com/bmovie/thing.html) out.

Madness: catch it!

P.S. - I think you should go ahead and pitch the movie idea. I mean, if anyone deserves to make a few points off that $150 million, it's you. For your pains. And ours.

I think this gimmick could be the lynchpin of my script idea for Yet Another 48 Hours.
