A question for the Food Court gourmets

So, is it just me, or is the "Mandarin Chicken" from Panda Express the same thing as the "Bourbon Chicken" from, uh, the places that offer bourbon chicken?

Although I don't have Panda Express, I can tell you that none of the places where I can get bourbon chicken have bourbon chicken that you could possibly describe as "mandarin" by any stretch of the imagination. Not only is it not "mandarin" in the "this cuisine is vaguely Chinese" sense, but it contains no mandarins whatsoever, orange, human, or linquistic.

In other words, I hope not.

Oh, the "Mandarin Chicken" is definitely not anything closely resembling Mandarin. It did, however, taste almost exactly like the Bourbon Chicken, which leads me to believe there's a food court conspiracy afoot.

I expect you're right, and the the conspiracy takes the form of "hojillion-gallon bag of generically-flavoured chicken bits for practically free Food Court-O-Rama Wholesalers".
