Ok this is awesome: CAT TOWN THE A GAME, courtesy [livejournal.com profile] rfreebern.

Ok this is also awesome: Super Mario Bros 2 level music done up in the style of Django Reinhardt (though, one assumes, played with five fingers instead of two.) Courtesy someone named Vic Wong, apparently. Even without a Grapelli-esque violin, it gets the job done, I says.

wait.

are you saying implicitly that DJANGO REINGARDT HAD TWO FUCKING FINGERS!?!?!?!?

Because I didn't know that if it's so, or even if it isn't, and my mind is getting blown just by thinking it may be true.

heh, just to be clear - I'm actually thinking you mean seven fingers, and not like one on each hand or something.

From WikiPedia:

At the age of 18, Reinhardt was injured in a fire that ravaged the caravan he shared with his first wife. The third and fourth digits on his left hand were burned so badly they were fused together, and although the doctors succeeded in separating the fingers, they were of diminished use to him in his future guitar playing. Determined to keep playing, Reinhardt focused on the guitar and developed an original style of playing that emphasized his undamaged fingers.

What a jerk. He not only has to be legendary with the talent, he's got to rub it in like "oh by the way TWO FINGERS, LOSERS!"

This is worse than finding out Wes Montgomery didn't know which chord was F.

Really, all of this overcoming great obstacles to excel is just ostentatious, don't you think?

Dude that was so awesome. El Guapo was like JUMP JUMP JUMP and the beach balls were exploding and the paper airplanes were like all over the place and it was really exciting.

My heart is racing.

Also, it was picked up by Little Fluffy with the unheard-of rating of one and a half stars! Maybe Lore would be happer with a Justices of The Supreme Court game...
