TRAPPED

The flu train has hit me. I was feverish all last night, and it wasn't due to any particular person, either. I have one final itinerary to go out today and I don't know if I have the energy to do it. It would involve talking to the member at least once and I'm sure they're having after-Thanksgiving fun and I can't wait around all day to hear from them. I'm feverish now and weak and the Metro convenience store is closed on the Day After Thanksgiving, so I had to get a thing of grapefruit juice from the vending machine here. Add to this the fact that I forgot to take the badge out of my regular jacket and put it in my winter jacket, so I'm trapped here like Mara the Dog until someone takes pity on me and lets me out.

Aces all around! I'm grabbing a big bottle of cough syrup tonight and I don't want to wake up til Sunday.
