Date: 2005-12-27 04:51 am (UTC)Damn, he was one of my favorite character actors. Not surprising that lung cancer got him, though. I read an interview with him in some pipe magazine. Apparently, he basically smoked all day long, every day. I don't care whether pipes are less unhealthy than cigarettes, that stuff takes a toll.
