spatchThe Ambassador Hotel, home of LA's hot Cocoanut Grove0 nightclub and the spot where Robert Kennedy was assassinated in 1968, has been demolished. The nightclub and coffeeshop will remain. Closed since 1989, the hotel land was seized by eminent domain to make way for a ginormous elementary school.
An interesting end to the property rich in history.
[0] Not the same notorious Cocoanut Grove nightclub of the Cocoanut Grove Fire fame; that one was in Boston.
