000. We saw The Producers (the movie based on the musical based on the movie based on the award-winning serial in Ladies' Home Journal) last night and in the best Mel Brooks vein I can muster up at this early hour, I had more fun watching it than I would have if I hadn't!

001. Garelick Farms' chocolate milk was repackaged recently into "MILK CHUG" (sounds like an unfortunate milk byproduct, really) and in doing so, went from 16 fluid ounces to 14. So much for the company's slogan "Add Something."

010. Wilson Pickett is dead. Ye gods, he was only 64. I think the best tribute you can make to the man right now is to go out and rent The Committments. Roide Sally roide, indeed.

011. I realized I have no idea how much 2 fluid ounces really is. Is it a sip? Or a chug? How much is one full eighth of sixteen ounces? I do know, however, that 14 is less than 16, so there.

According to a web site on measurements for drinks, a shot is 1 oz. So two shots would be 2 oz.
Hope that helps...

A shot is 1 1/2 ounces. Anyone serving a 1oz shot is short-changing you.

Well, how many gulps do you get out of 16 oz bottle of chocolate milk when you're drinking it? How much longer does it take to drink 16 oz than 14 oz?

Later, reading replies: it's neat how many different frames of reference people are coming up with for two fluid ounces.

2 fl. oz. is a gulp.

Or, if you're my 9-month-old, it's about 5 minutes of sucking.

That is a horrible song. Well, most country these days is pretty horrible, but that one takes the cake. My former cow-orker thought it was hilarious and would turn up the radio every time it came on. >.

... slow-dance to WROR in the Rosebud Diner.

Also, 2 oz. is 1/4 cup. If *that* helps.

I have not seen the original film, but I laughed so hard that I cried at the current version.

I like that fact that they tried to keep as many of the actors from the staged version as possible in the movie version. Hollywood came along and gave them will ferrell and uma (the stage Ula was in the movie, but only during dance scenes where Uma had her back to the camera). I thought that was cool (Rent did this as well, which I liked)

I am a broadway nerd. :)

"...guess you better slow your mustache down..."

Also, two oz. is precisely one gulp. At least for me, but I still have my tonsils.

and another thing

Where does chocolate milk come from?
From a chocolate cow
by a chocolate stream
in a chocolate field
on a chocolate farm?
