This one's a New England post, plain and simple.

Curt Gowdy, venerable Voice of the Red Sox for many a moon, has died. But Narragansett Beer, Gowdy's sponsor during his Red Sox days and a New England mainstay, is coming back. And according to some discriminatin' beer drinkahs in the article, it doesn't suck.

I cannot even tell how happy I am Gansett's back. I remember my grandfather drinking it. I've had it a few times since it's return (mainly from University Wines & Liquors on Mass Ave) and it's what you think it is, it's a not-bad cheap beer. The cans have great stories from the past on them. A much better alternative to buying Budweiser or Coors (or God have mercy on your heathen soul, their light beers...or any light beer).
