Why yes, yes, it is.
I'd be reading it now but I'm in the middle of a neat biography of Adam Worth, Victorian criminal mastermind and the inspiration for Sherlock Holmes' nemesis Moriarty.

I have that Welles biography also, and (being deeply embroiled in a cerebral feminist doctoral manifesto (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1568581939/sr=8-1/qid=1147468328/103-8513249-5719052)) have not started it yet.
