interesting.. I like the concept, but I think that it might be implemented better in a different photo.. I think there needs to be more color surrounding the b/w in order to truly accentuate it. I think also that the overcast sky blends in with the sign, whereas a blue sky might frame it better.

Adding in the sky could work, yeah. The pavement outside the place is a bit rosy when isolated. I thought it'd be too distracting.

I also tried a version with just the carousel and it nearly worked in reverse.

I like the carousel one.. and ya, I thought the pavement was also too grey and blended in too much. not like the pavements in disney world that are red because kodak deemed it showed up on film better.

The technique is nothing new, but my playing around with it sure is. :D
