Holy snakes! It's back! What's next, Channel 38 bringing back Ask The Manager? From boston.com:
Set your clocks: The "Creature Double Feature" will return to Channel 56 for one day this Saturday, thanks the sponsorship of Ernie Boch Jr. The show, which used to air Saturday mornings on the channel, could make a permanent return if there's enough support.
And Channel 56 confirms it. On tap: Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster and The Giant Gila "I Sing Whenever I Sing Whenever I Sing Whenever I Sing" Monster.

Ok. Who do I have to call and annoy in order to join the host gig?

And now, your link trail: From boston.com by way of this dude who was quoted over on the S/F board to Evers to Chance.

It turns out they're showing "Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster" for that! That's one of the best Godzilla movies of all time, with all it's bizarre quiet pensive moments at the end. Oh yeah, and it's got hippies who do drugs, weird animations, and that surreal part where everyone at the dance club has fish heads. Apparently the producer was ill during the making of the movie, and when he saw the finished product, he was not happy.

I've never seen "the Giant Gila Monster", but I was a big fan of the Friday night/Saturday afternoon sci fi movies on this station we got from across the border. Plus, my brother and I were big collectors and renters of all that stuff during the public domain VHS tape boom of the late 80's.
