It's a limited run of 300 hats and Lowtax was making 'em available to Forums members first. (He got custom-made Zippo-like lighters done, he ordered 150, and sold out in 3 hours.)
You don't have to be a member to buy a hat, though, but perhaps a good word sent to him saying "Hey, I bet more than just forumsgoers would buy these hats" might be encouraging. Then again, it's Lowtax you're dealing with, so who knows?
