Well, the main reason is that it was a game I was paying twelve dollars a month to not play (hadn't done anything major/fun since mid-May, when we finished off one of my favorite rogue's epics, and then that rogue left the guild) and right now every penny counts.
The second reason is that now there suddenly appeared 2.5 gigs of free space on my hard drive for other endeavors. I'm not sure what all those endeavors might entail, but I seem to have downloaded 600 megabytes of old Fred Allen radio shows in the past 48 hours, and could use the free space for more.
I'm sure I'll be back on someday. I said "I'm never playing again" after the first time I quit and the second time as well. I may have said it during the third time, but I was also pretty drunk at the time so I probably said other amusing things too.
Besides, ol' Frotz didn't get a proper send-off. I think he logged out in Shadowhaven or something. What a terrible place for a retirement!
