My favorite anecdote of the day

When Brian Clemens, producer and writer of the Avengers television series was asked about the coy, flirty sexual chemistry between Mr. Steed and Emma Peel and if the two characters would ever sleep together, he replied that he'd always written the characters as having just gone to bed with each other, so that every day was treated as "the day after."

No Walk of Shame for Mrs. Peel, that's for sure!

I can't find a direct quote corroborating this, unfortunately, and this is also the fellow who claimed The Avengers was fantasy because "we do not show uniformed policemen or colored men" so I'm not so sure about its veracity, but wow, what a great perspective from which to write!
