Hey, it was Eurovision and that was their secret weapon! They had to save it for their showstopping big finish!

If you poke around the related YouTube links for the Moskau video, you'll find a version performed by four teenage boys for what looks like a school project.

It starts out kinda slow and boring, you know, four gawky-looking teens nervously shuffling back and forth to the music, but then all of a sudden it's as if someone turns the "awesome" switch on and the kids nail every single dance step. Including the Half-Assed Cossack Dance and the Side-To-Side-Jump.

I was impressed, but it took a moment or two.

Have you noticed that every year it seems Dschinghis Khan shows up earlier and earlier? Used to be you wouldn't hear "Moskau" until Thanksgiving at least. Soon they'll be up to their old tricks right after Labor Day.

Also, I could swear that, in the Moskau video, the Russian lady I used to work with at my old job is secretly the woman in red with big gold epaulets the size of schnauzers--not just because she was Russian, though; the resemblance is absolutely uncanny.

In casting the Moskau video, we gave the role of Epaulet Lady to Maggie Gyllenhaal. The dude in black is totally an Alan, either Cumming or Rickman, you pick; the green guy can be none other than Jack Black, and a fully shaved Terence Stamp, fresh from his role as General Zod in Superman, as the bald dude.

The woman in yellow, uh, she's just an extra from Central Casting.
