an addendum to Nice Things Thursday!

There's one great new feature they slyly added onto LiveJournal, and that's the feature to show placeholders for embedded video when you view your friends list. Can't tell when that one went in, but they've had "show placeholders for images" for a long time now so it's nice that you can specify the same for video. Especially when your browser has the habit of playing YouTube videos just fine on their respective YouTube pages, but for whatever reason just doesn't like the embedded video.

So hey, that's nice too. Of course, I found it last night when I was frantically searching thru the options for a way to change my editor back, so it's like finding a crisp ten dollar bill when you're scrounging around your pockets looking for your house keys. A pleasant surprise, even though it's not what you were looking for at the time.

Oh thank god. The youtube embedded stuff fucks up my browser every time. Where is it?
