The Vicious Circle that is Not Helped by Whining About It

I've been up for an hour. I'd like to go back to sleep. But my throat is too sore.

Which means I should drive down to CVS and pick up some drops and maybe some tea and a nice magazine to read.

But I don't feel awake enough to brave the Porter Square traffic, and walking in the cold doesn't feel like an option, either.

So I could use a few more hours of sleep.

And I'd like to go back to sleep.

But my throat is too sore...

The whole world is sick this week. Bond has been running a fever, so I took his temprature. Not as backwards as it sounds - if he runs a fever for a couple of days, I take his temp. Rectally. Because he's too young for an oral yet. And then he inevitably gets better. I am sure it has nothing to do with children's tylenol.

It is my considered medical opinion that people get over a fever quicker if they know their mom is about to stick something in their butt. He's much better today.

The moral of the story: Feel better soon. Don't make me come over there. :-)
