Jimmystagger foists upon us all the new Doc Martens ad campaign in the UK. It's pretty much the late 20th century equivalent of those airbrushed posters featuring James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis hanging out at a neon-chrome diner named "Legends" or something.

Actually, it's worse than that, given the fact that these are actual ads for the boots. Once again dead people are dragged out, devoid of all irony, to sell products. Hmm. I think we need an antidote:

BRING ON ALEXEI SAYLE AND RADICAL POSTURE!

It's not class or ideology
Color, creed or roots
The only thing that unites us
Is Dr. Martens boots!

OH! DON'T YOU WANT ME!

Weird. I just watched that about three days ago. I've been playing my Young Ones dvds in the kitchen while doing housework.

And the neighbors who live upstairs from me, I can't understand what they're doing, y'know, I listen, and all I hear is this weird noise that goes WHOOM WHOOM! BLAM BLAM! WHOOM WHOOM! BLAM BLAM! right, and it sounds like two elephants on a motorbike riding round while a seal bangs a kipper on the table, and I went upstairs to complain, right, and the door was answered by this elephant in a crash helmet, and standing beside him's this seal going "What is it now, Ralph?"
