Well, not only did A-Rod have to go and ruin a perfectly fine ballgame last night and it's raining that horrible drizzly spitty rain this morning, but the lady who created Cap'n Crunch has died. Well, she developed the flavor for the cereal, at least, and that gives the cereal more appeal than the mouth-shredding aspect, right?

Still no status on how the person who invented the Crunchberry is doing but boy, this is a pretty low start to the week, ain't it?

There are no words for the profundity of the Cap'n Crunch craving that has wrapped its air-popped grip around me. I will report back to this comment page after having secured some and some whole milk. May she rest in delicious, sweet-corn-like peace.

Sidelined by ill-stocked local convenience store and rain-induced set of blahs leading to 10-hour night of sleep. Quest postponed but not cancelled.

I need to get to work on my caffeinated breakfast cereal idea. It turns your milk Coffee-ey!

It could be worse--I was tempted to mail-order some Happy Joe's pizza (local Midwest chain) but their minimum order + shipping works out to like $150.

I may have better luck convincing somebody local to make the Happy Joe special instead. (Canadian bacon and sauerkraut--do not knock it until you've tried it.)

more incredible food expenditure

With the Soggies still at large and rumored to be bunkered somewhere in Afghanistan, this is a sad day...and a net loss for the forces of crunchiness everywhere.
