Guess what's coming to the Kendall next week with a new 35mm print? One week only. The songs will leave my head in, oh, November at the earliest.

I caught the trailer for it on Saturday when I went to see PAPRIKA and was very very very very very pleasantly surprised. So surprised I think I said "holy shit!" out loud an' everything.

Looking forward to seeing it on the big screen is one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dark, vague-feelings-of-impending-abstract-doom day.

I don't suppose they plan on running it for six weeks or so. I may be in Boston at the end of July or early August.

We saw it and it was GLORIOUS. The theater applauded every costume change... and every package shot. I had so much fun.

It's like the weirdest/most awesome (depending on your mindset) episode of "The Muppet Show" ever, with special guest star David Bowie.

I sense the planning of an impending outing. I was definitely planning on seeing it while it's here.

How was Paprika, by the way? Seeing that this weekend.

Holy crap on a mofo crap stick. Be it alone or in company, I will go! This is one of my favorite movies of all time. For a long time I have wanted to have a movie night where we watch Labyrinth, Dark Crystal and Legend. Anecdote: Beverly Crusher choreographed Layrinth.

And Danny John-Jules was one of the Bogglin dancers. :3

(And Dr. Crusher was one of the assistant choreographers. It was mostly choreographed by Charles Augins, who was ALSO on Red Dwarf. Why I know this stuff, I could not tell you.)

Dude! I didn't know that! How excellent.
I am so there, additionally. I hadn't gotten a date for when it was being shown, but NOW, with that knowledge...

The Brattle had a Labyrinth/Dark Crystal double feature a while ago and it was awesome. And kind of geeky since a friend's husband was playing WoW during intermission.

Adding Legend to the mix would be insane.
