The song "Keep It Simple" off Martin Sexton's latest album Seeds is the kind of inscrutably idiosyncratic song that someone would include on a mix tape for you because they really got into it, but it'd be the one song you'd always fast-forward through when it came around because you couldn't.

And I can safely say this because fifteen or so years ago, I would've been the one putting it on the mix tape.
